Mia Vallière is a recent graduate from Laurentian University with a B.A. in Criminology. Her passions include human rights, law and policy, sociology, and international development. A strong believer in knowledge seeking through interdisciplinary studies, Mia hopes to continue her education in graduate school. Her advocacy works spans from local to international, being an activist for reproductive justice in her northern community, having worked as a Global Development Research Intern with CNIB and the Caribbean Council for the Blind, and currently serving as a Youth-Policy Maker with the Ontario Council for International Cooperation. Mia believes that the path to change starts with sharing ideas and having open discussions, making writing a key piece of her advocacy.
